The wise wizard Gandalf stands leaning on his gnarled staff, his long beard and flowing robes detailed with careful linework. He is surrounded by lush woodland vegetation with small flowers and delicate foliage framing the scene on both sides. The intricate folds of his cloak and the textured strokes of his hair make this a rewarding portrait to bring to life with color.

Coloring tip

Use grey and white tones for Gandalf's beard and robes to capture his wise appearance, then add earthy browns and greens to the woodland background. The small flowers around him offer a nice opportunity to add pops of color that contrast beautifully with the neutral tones of the central figure.
