Meet Struthiomimus, a fleet-footed dinosaur that looked just like a giant featherless bird! This long-necked, two-legged runner is shown in its natural prehistoric setting surrounded by spiky cycad plants and wispy clouds. With its distinctive beaked head held high and powerful hind legs built for speed, this dinosaur was one of the fastest sprinters of the Cretaceous period.

Coloring tip

Try coloring Struthiomimus in warm earth tones like tan or brown to make it look realistic, then use greens and yellows for the spiky cycad plants to bring the prehistoric landscape to life. Leave the background clouds light or color them softly in pale blues and grays.
